Are you able to indentify the various components of the Arm?
From the following two diagrams, you should be able to indentify brake pedal, four brake levels, spring-bow (arch)of the arm, X-ray tube, image intensifier, steering handle, wheels, control panel and foot exposure switch. Move your cursor over the parts to identify them.
The Wig-wag Brake Level is located on one side of the cross arm. The level is turned anti-clockwise to unlock it and clockwise to set the brake.

These wheel brake pedals are located on each side to the rear of the large wheels. The brakes are activated by pressing forward and down on either pedal.
This handlel controls the C-arm steering of the two large wheels under the rear of the C-Arm unit.


This Brake level is located on either side of the support arm upward to allow the C-arm to move in its cradle. The brake level is pushed down to set the brake.

The Rotation Brake Level is located on the cross arm directly above the steering handle. The level is moved anti-clockwise to unlock the support and clockwise to set the brake.
The level is turned anti-clockwise to unlock the brake and clockwise to set the brake.
You will notice that there are four brake levels for different movement of C-arm. The vertical motion is controlled by the Motor Control Key in the Control Panel. Doubleclick on the panel to view the key.
